James Ray Ritchie

James Ray Ritchie, age 55, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at a Temple hospital. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, June 20, 2008 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Garman officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. James was born January 2, 1953 in Gatesville, Texas. He was the son of Leonard Ritchie and Hazel Steed Ritchie. James attended school in Gatesville and worked in construction for many years. He was a member of The Tabernacle of Faith Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister; Louise Coen. Survivors include wife; Doris Ritchie, Sisters; Shirley Hawk, Norma Jean Cromer, Reba Nell Key, Wanda Ritchie, Faye Ritchie and Loretta Featherston, brothers; Raymond (Sam) Ritchie, Larry (Jr.) Ritchie and Johnny Lee Ritchie and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
