Walter Waller, age 84, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Flint Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the funeral home. Walter was born on October 16, 1929 in Robinson, Texas to the late Grandville and Minnie Saffell Waller. He attended school in Flat. He worked on the farm with his family until he enlisted in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable service to our country, Walter became a heavy equipment operator. He was a good fisherman and took his kids on many camping and fishing trips. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ruby, May and Georgia; and brothers, Henry, Bill, Vernon, Billy Joe, and Clarence. Walter is survived by his wife, Carolyn Waller; sons, Charles Waller, William Waller, Bobby Waller, Alvin Waller, Tommy Waller, Gary Waller, and Ray Waller; daughter, Cheryl Waller; sisters, Marie Richter, Jean Beighle, and Alline; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
