Wilma Bruce Bradford

Wilma Bruce Bradford, age 92, of Gatesville passed away Monday, February 3, 2014. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 7, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gene Gurley officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be immediately following the service. Mrs. Bradford was born on December 30, 1921 in Crawford, Texas to the late Robert Bruce and Annie Lou Davis Farish. She graduated from Crawford High School. She married Edwin B. Bradford in 1940. She lived in Gatesville most of her life. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Dr. John Brown and at Leaird’s Department Store. She loved flower and cactus gardening, cooking, and vacationing. She and Edwin loved to go deep sea fishing out of Galveston on the Buccaneer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Edwin B. Bradford; her sister, Callie O. Martin; and her brother, B. J. Farish. Wilma is survived by her daughter, Jann Dworsky and husband, Billy of Temple, TX; two granddaughters, Dee Ann Kepler and husband, Jason of Cedar Park, TX and Carla James and husband, Nathan of Zachary, Louisiana; and four great-grandsons.
