Joesph Dale Young

Joesph D. Young, 23, of Gatesville passed away on March 2, 2014 in Temple. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home with private burial following at Hemmeline Cemetery Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. Joe was born on March 4, 1990 in El Paso, Texas to Terry and Tammy (Varney) Young. Joe moved to Gatesville while in the 3rd grade and was active in the First Baptist Church youth group during high school. After high school, Joe worked for Wal-Mart and later moved into working construction. He loved working outside with his hands. Joe is survived by his parents, Terry and Tammy Young; sisters, Kristy Young and Amanda Key and husband Wade. Joe is also survived by his niece and nephew, Alyssia and Hunter who adored Joe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southwest Transplant Alliance at www.organ.org in Joe’s name. The Young family was able to help several families through Joe’s loss.
