Agnes Sharp

Agnes Sharp, age 81, of Gatesville passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. A Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home with visitation immediately following until 8:00 p.m.Agnes was born on July 22, 1932 in Kirchberg, Germany to the late Johan and Maria Schell Endres. After her father passed away, she was raised by her mother and step-father, Josef Sieben, in Germany. Agnes met Donald K. Sharp, Sr. while he was in the U. S. Air Force, stationed in Germany in 1952. They married in 1956. While Donald was in the military, they lived all over the world. Agnes enjoyed being a stay at home mother until 1976, and then began working at Coryell Memorial Hospital. While there she worked as a nurse’s aid on the hospital floor and the nursery, and also in the surgical unit, retiring in 2000.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald K. Sharp, Sr. in 1988; and companion, Geoffery Waterman in 1999.Agnes is survived by her children, Eva Jacobsen and husband, Mike Mathews, Donald K. Sharp, Jr. and wife, Valorie Penuel, Annette Sharp Olden, and Pamela Campbell and husband, Michael; sisters, Erika Braun and husband, Josef, Irene Dziombla, and Rita Hein and husband, Heinz; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one niece, Patricia Decker.Memorials may be made to The Big Sting , P.
