Chan Chi Sirasang

Chan Chi Sirasang, age 55, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas.  Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville.  Burial will be at 3:00 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.  Visitation will be from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the funeral home.   Chan was born on July 27, 1958 in Thailand to Neenoi Loutong Sirasang and the late Pat Sirasang.  He came to the United States in 1974, and was raised by Neenoi and Maurice Palmer.  He served 16 years in the Army and 8 years in the Texas Army National Guard which included a tour in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom.    Chan is survived by his wife, Ya; mother, Neenoi; three children, Ashley Hornaday, Chaun Sirasang, and Austin Sirasang; three grandchildren,  Leewood Broussard, Zavior Broussard, and Kaeo Sirasang; two brothers, Udom Sirasang, and Daniel Palmer; and two sisters, Pontip Sirasang, Sandra Smith.
