Robert Steven Barr

Robert Barr, 53, passed away on April 10, 2014 at his home in Temple. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Scotts Funeral Home in Gatesville with visitation an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery near Flat, TX   Robert was born on May 24, 1960 to the late Willard Barr and Bernice Wood Zimmer in Ft. Worth, TX. He attended school in Ft. Worth and graduated from Temple High School in 1978. He moved back to Ft. Worth and worked for 17 years for Lockheed Martin before starting his own electrical business with John Potter. They worked together in the Ft. Worth and Granbury area for a number of years. He moved back to Temple in 2011 and married his high school sweetheart on May 26, 2012 in Temple where he started his maintenance business. Robert was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jessie Burt.   Robert is survived by his wife, Lori Bland Barr; son, Steven Willard Barr; step-son, Brodie Golemon; step-daughter, Paige Golemon; sisters, Donna McCollum and husband Don, Karen Jorgensen and husband Ed; brothers, Jeff Barr and wife Cindy, Danny Barr and wife Beth; grandchildren, Masen and Austin Barr as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
