Thomas G. Majusiak, 50, of Gatesville, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on July 21, 2008. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 25, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church in Gatesville with Rev. Tom Beaty officiating. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at Scott’s Funeral Home. Thomas was born on July 4, 1958 to the late George and Julienne Marie Trudel Majusiak in Butte, Montana. Thomas married Jane Smith on March 16, 1979. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and retired from the U.S. Army in 1996 after 20 years of service. He was deputy for Coryell County Sheriffs department for four years, a police officer for the City of Gatesville, an EMT, a volunteer firefighter and was an umpire for the little league. He was preceded in death by his parents. Thomas is survived by his wife, Jane Majusiak; daughter, Amy Nicely and husband Chuck; sons, Michael Majusiak, Tom Majusiak, Jr.; grandson, Damian Nicely; sister, Cecelia Norton and husband Donnie; brothers; Court Majusiak and wife Karen, Tim Majusiak and wife Brenda, Victor Majusiak and wife Lori; brother-in-law, Tom Smith and wife Jan and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank the police department, sheriff’s department, fire department, EMS, the nurses at Vista Care Hospice, volunteers and friends for all their compassion and dedication.
