Willis Cecil Beechly

Willis C. Beechly, age 96, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008 in Hewitt. Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Evergreen-Bundrant Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Willis was born July 11, 1912 in Levita, Texas. He was the third of nine children born to Bertie W. and Lula Jane Boling Beechly. Willis was a farmer, rancher and carpenter and worked at Coryell Memorial Hospital. He married Odell Timmons on August 20, 1960. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2000. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bill Beechly and U. S. Beechly; sisters, Lula Mae Huckabee, Jessie Huckabee, Maggie Edwards and Laneta Smith. Survivors include sister, Jimmie Adams; brother, R. B. Beechly; step-children, Jean Woodard, Jenice Stepan and Glenn Timmons; 8 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to The Evergreen-Bundrant Cemetery, Coryell Memorial Hospital and the charity of your choice.
