Harold “Gene” Morgan

Gene Morgan, age 71, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hillside Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Eastwood Baptist Church.Gene was born on October 8, 1942 in Wheeling, Missouri. He was a lifelong farmer. His children and Gene loved anything and everything John Deere. He was also known for his love of camping.He was preceded in death by his parents; and a half-sister, Margarite Martinez.Gene is survived by his wife, Carolyn Morgan of Gatesville; son, Shawn Morgan of Brashear, Missouri; daughter, Shannon Jones and husband, Leighton of Gatesville; grandson, Andrew Morgan of Kirksville, Missouri; and brother, Larry Horton of Cohutta, Georgia.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Eastwood Baptist Church Women’s Ministries, 2518 E.
