Jean Fore

Jean Fore, age 94, of Gatesville passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 3, 2014. Per her request, no service will be held.Jean was born on August 12, 1919 in Kansas City, Missouri to the late Robert and Ethel Haley Wiltshire. She attended William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri for several years, later graduating from Trinity Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She married Zack S. Fore of Gatesville on February 10, 1942. She retired in 1968 after many years of nursing for Dr. Kermit Jones. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, boating, and hunting for fossils. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Zack Fore in 1983; and brother, Bob Wiltshire of Missouri.Jean is survived by her son, Steve Fore of Gatesville; nephews, Dr. Tom Wiltshire and Jim Wiltshire; and niece, Carolyn Timmerman.Special thanks are extended to Hillside Nursing and Scott’s Funeral Home.
