Sharon Elaine Thorman

Sharon Elaine Thorman, age 61, of Gatesville went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Sharon was born on March 14, 1953 in San Angelo, Texas. She was the first of three children born to Travis and Gwen Gibbs. She married her high school sweetheart, Michael Lynn Thorman on August 3, 1971 in Del Rio, Texas. Sharon will always be fondly remembered for her love of gardening and sewing hobbies. She was greatly involved with and loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Shopping, shopping, shopping and more shopping in amongst the mani’s and pedi’s were always on the top of the to-do list. Sharon is survived by her husband, Michael Thorman; parents, Travis and Gwen Gibbs; three sons and their families, Ty Thorman and Ashley, Clayton, Alexis, and Olivia of Gatesville, Richard Thorman and partner, David Copeland and Gwyneth, Evelyn, and Creighton of Kingsland, and Eric Thorman and wife, Mandy and Maggie, E.J., and Allyson of Gatesville. She is also survived by her brother, Ted Gibbs and wife, Debbie of San Antonio; sister, Sandy Gately and husband, Paul of Gatesville; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 13, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home with Larry McDonald officiating. Family and friends are encouraged to gather at Faunt Le Roy Park after the services to remember and pay tribute to Sharon with stories and dinner.
