John Franklin Oldham

John Franklin Oldham, age 61, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at a Temple Hospital with his family by his side. Graveside Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Friday, August 15, 2008 at Ireland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. John was born September 18, 1946 in Houston, Texas. He was the son of Thomas Franklin Oldham and Estella Mae Rivas Oldham. Mr. Oldham served in the U. S. Army and after his discharge spent many years over the road as a truck driver. He retired in 2004. He loved hunting, fishing, boating, wood working and riding motorcycles. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Robert Oldham and Thomas Oldham. Survivors include wife; Barbara Oldham of Jonesboro, sons; Wayne Oldham of Jonesboro and John Oldham and wife Nina of Meridian, daughter; Brenda Rhudy and husband James of Gatesville, sister; Nellie Prince of Pearland, brother; Danny Oldham and wife Tonya of Lubbock, grandchildren; Bryan Rhudy of Gatesville, Tawyla Majek and husband Joseph of Gatesville, Shanna Oldham and Shelbi Oldham of Meridian and Linsey Oldham of Deleon, great grand daughter; Romi JoLee Majek, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and many friends.
