Jerry Ray Chartier

Jerry Ray Chartier, age 50, of Gatesville passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 4, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Jim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the funeral home. Jerry was born on December 20, 1963 in Greenville, Texas to Dennis and Sue Warren Chartier. He attended school in Greenville, graduating from Greenville High School in 1982. He married Sandra Cravens on July 12, 1986. They moved to Gatesville and he worked at the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office until his health would no longer permit it. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sue Peek; and grandparents, Bennie and Gwen Warren, and Lynn and Eva Chartier. Jerry is survived by his wife of 27 years, Sandra Chartier; father, Dennis Chartier and wife, Glenda; children, Matthew Chartier and wife, Lindsay, Megan Chartier, and Mitchell Chartier; sister, Shannon Cross and husband, Craig; and grandchildren, Mayson, Seth, Ethan, and Aliyah.
