Robin Ann Jones

Robin Ann Jones, age 45, passed away unexpectedly in Mesquite, Texas. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, Texas. Visitation will be 9:00 – 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. She was born in Freeport, Texas on June 23, 1969 to the late Edward and Dorothy Cockrell Jones. She grew up in Lake Jackson, attended Bess Brannan Elementary, Lake Jackson Intermediate, and Brazoswood High School. She recently resided in Houston. She is survived by her son, Callan Hurst of San Marcos. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary Jones and wife, June of Brazoria, Mark Jones and wife, Donna of Glendale, Bret Jones of Angleton, and Keith Jones and wife, Kellie of Kingwood; nephews, Daulton Jones, Jordan Jones, and Jackson Jones; nieces, Keisha Jones, Emily Jones, Lindsay Jones, Kala Danford; great-niece, Peyton Danford; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Robin was a loving daughter, sister and mom. She had a heart for the less fortunate. She loved to dance just like her Mom back in the day. Like all of her siblings, Robin had a great sense of humor and liked to make others laugh with her jokes and stories. She had a love of God and would always pray for those she loved and even for strangers. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
