David G. Kyle

David G. Kyle, Sr., age 78, of Gatesville passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Eastwood Baptist Church with Rev. Matt Richard and Rev. Charles Grossman officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. David was born on July 14, 1936 in Kilgore, Texas to the late Ted Kyle and Ruth DeBrock Kyle. He grew up in Shreveport and Bossier City, Louisiana. He was an iron worker for 38 years all over the United States. He moved to Gatesville in 1988 to help construct the Hughes Unit. David owned and operated DK Trucking for many years. He married Barbara Davis in 1997. He was a Deacon at Eastwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his son, David G. Kyle, Jr.; a grandson; and brother, Doyle Kyle. David is survived by his wife, Barbara Kyle; son, Daniel Kyle; daughters, Robin Bahm, Kristie Roark, and Cindy Kyle; sisters, Jeanette Harville and Fay Kyle; brother, Dennis Kyle and wife, Debbie; and step-son, Shayne Embry and wife, Debra.
