Billy Michael Millsap

Billy Michael Millsap, age 70, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014 at Slater Cemetery. Billy was born on April 17, 1944 in Purmela, Texas to the late Cross and Edith Herrmann Millsap. He attended school in Purmela and Evant. He was a carpenter and a heavy machine operator and built homes in Copperas Cove. He enjoyed doing cowboy work on the Army Camp with his father-in-law, Sam Patterson. Billy loved his grandkids and took joy in attending their sporting events and activities. He was also preceded in death by his brother, W.C. “Junior” Millsap. Billy is survived by his daughters, Susan Smith and husband, Warren, Shelley Herring and husband, Jack, Sara Young and husband, Kevin; siblings, Bernice Powell, Darwin Millsap, Ace Millsap, Emma Dyer, Pauline Williams, and Thelbert Millsap; and grandchildren, Levi Smith, Boone Herring and wife, Rebecca, Hayden Herring, Hannah Herring, Wyatt Young, and Garrett Young.
