Norman "Slim" Glenn Williams

Norman “Slim” Glenn Williams, age 96, of Gatesville, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Fairfield, Texas. Services are scheduled for 3 PM Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Moffat Cemetery in Moffat, Texas. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 to 3 PM on Sunday. Norman was born October 21, 1917 in Mullin, Texas. He was the son of Silas Marion Williams and Rhoda Ellen Chesser Williams. Norman was raised on the Williams Ranch in Mills County, Texas. He married Dottie Thomison on December 22, 1937. They were married for 65 years. Norman was a farmer and rancher in the Owl Creek and Gatesville, Texas area for many years. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dottie Williams, sons; Norman Glenn Williams, Jr. and Billy Ray Williams, great grandson; Court Franklin, two sisters and two brothers. Survivors include daughters; Wilma Bonds Neal and Jo Marion Ellis, 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
