Harold Allen Miller, age 68, of Gatesville and formerly of Houston, Texas passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Harold Miller was born August 1, 1946 in Houston, Texas. He attended school in Houston and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1965. He joined the Navy in 1966 and served during the Vietnam War. Harold moved to Gatesville in 1987. While living in Gatesville, he was employed by Texas Department of Correction for 16 years and married his wife Kathy Warren-Miller in 2002. Harold was also known for hay baling and as a Master Plumber. Harold was also a member of the American Legion for 12 years and rode with the American Legion Riders, Southern Cruisers and the Patriot Guard. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Harold August Miller and Dorothy Allen Miller; and his sister Barbara Jean Hooks. Harold leaves behind his wife Kathy Warren-Miller; a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly & Jeremy Kline of Gatesville; a son, Matthew Miller of Gatesville, Sister and brother-in-law, Mary & Milton Simmons of Lovelady, TX; two grandchildren, Devin Howell and Layton Miller of Gatesville. We would like to invite friends and family to gather after the funeral at the home of Shelly and Jeremy Kline at 413 Old Fort Gates Road in Gatesville. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to The American Lung Association in Memory of Harold Miller.
