Richard Haase

Richard Haase, age 85, of Gatesville passed away Monday, November 3, 2014. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Ater Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Richard was born on October 10, 1929 in Evant, Texas to the late Ernst and Hattie Haase. He attended school in Jonesboro, Texas. He married Martha Abbott on October 20, 1981. He was a crane operator for 20 years in Stephenville, Texas for Shinn Construction Company. He also worked for Weber Drilling Company in Houston, Texas. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Camilla Haase Paulson; and brothers, Walter Haase and Alvin Ernest Haase. Richard is survived by his wife, Martha Haase; brother, Paul Haase; sister, Milda Greene; step-daughters, Ginger Dossman, Wendy Suggs and husband, Guy, and Rockie Swain and husband, Robert; step-son, Alan Timmons and wife, Penny; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons.
