Doris Jackson

Doris Jackson, age 88, of Levita, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Gatesville. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Flint Creek Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Mrs. Jackson was born on January 18, 1926 in the Seattle community of Coryell County, now part of Ft. Hood. She was the daughter of the late George Edward and Emma Rivers Blackshear. She married Glen H. Jackson in 1948. They resided in Levita since 1963. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; daughter, Diana R. Hill; and a brother, George E. Blackshear. She is survived by four sons, Donald E. Hill and wife, Carolyn, James F. Jackson and wife, Patsy, David G. Jackson and wife, Debbie, and Gary L. Jackson and wife Lori; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friends, Terry Meeks, Jeanette Abrahamson, James Tabors, Montie Maxwell and Randy Morgan.
