Gerald "Jerry" Bryant

Gerald “Jerry” Bryant, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 in Temple, TX. Graveside Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Restland Cemetery with Rev. Wray Nunn officiating. The family will receive visitors from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Jerry was born on December 12, 1941 in Sandoval, IL to the late Joseph and Lydia Jordan Bryant. He attended school in Sandoval, IL and later married Shirley Rylander in 1963. Jerry was drafted into the service in 1968 and served in the United States Army until 1972. After moving to Texas, he began his career with Texas Department of Justice and retired after 21 years. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Jerry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley Bryant; sisters, Dorothy Williams, Jody Acree; and brothers, Sam Bryant and Danny Bryant.
