Fred Gray

Fred Gray, 57, of Gatesville passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 in Temple. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Gatesville with Dr. Chad Bertrand officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 PM, Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Fred was born on November 1, 1957 in Rochester, NH to Fred H. and Lucille Larochelle Gray. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1975. Fred moved to Texas in 1980 and began his Firefighter and EMS career. He spent 17 years as the EMS Director for Coryell Memorial Hospital and spent the last 5 years with Air-Evac Life Team as a Program Director at Base 66 in Killeen. Fred also served as the Coryell County Emergency Management Coordinator. Fred married Janice Ray on November 8, 2002 at Pecan Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Gatesville. Fred is preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Gray. Fred is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Rachel Baggerly and husband, Richard, Kevin Gray and wife, Raegan, Lance Gray, Jeremy Pruitt and wife, Casey; father, Fred Gray, Sr. and wife, Terry; siblings, Sally Hildreath and husband, John, Alan Gray and Rosie Gray; grandchildren, Izaac, Izaiah, Sarah Baggerly, Kinzlee Gray, Brooklyn and Roman Pruitt. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Big Sting, 3417 Imperial Dr., Gatesville, TX 76528. Fred was a great man that served a community he loved.
