Margaret Lerlin Hunt Carroll

Margaret Lerlin Hunt Carroll, age 96, of Galt, California passed away Sunday, December 14, 2014. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014 at King Baptist Church. Burial will follow at King Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Margaret was born April 20, 1918 in Belton, Texas to Milbourne and Gladys Breedlove Hunt. She married James Monroe Carroll on February 12, 1938. Margaret lived in Texas most of her life, but resided the last six years in California with her family there. She loved caring for her family, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and gardening. She was a member of King Baptist Church until moving to California. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Monroe Carroll. She is survived by her son, Dale Carroll (Darlene) of Texas; daughters, Nita Hurst (Jim) of California and Ina Rios of Texas; grandchildren, Jody Abarca (Mark) of California, Julie Elliott (Chris) of Colorado, Kelly Apley of California, Lee Carroll (Joanne) of Rhode Island, and Becky Ross (Dan) of Arkansas; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
