Jeanne Marie Munday

Jeanne Marie Munday, age 68, of Gatesville, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at her residence with family. Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, November 22, 2008 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 PM Friday at the Funeral home. Jeanne was born September 7, 1940 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Elvis McCraw and Olive Marie Gilman McCraw. Jeanne married James Munday on December 6, 1958. She worked with her husband at Mundays Laundry and Dry Cleaning for fifteen years. Jeanne also worked as the Business Administrator for Gatesville Independent School District for thirty three years. She had many hobbies which included cooking, sewing and arts and crafts. Jeanne also had one mandatory hobby for many years, which was being present at all the GISD board meetings and making sure they ran smoothly. Jeanne was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Jim McCraw. Survivors include husband; James Munday, mother; Olive Marie McCraw, sons; Mark Munday and wife Kim and Chris Munday and wife Keitha, daughter; Kathy Stobaugh (missing), sisters; Mary Ann Ellis and husband Homer, Anita Holliman and husband Howard, Elaine Curles, brother; William (Bill) McCraw and wife JoAnne, 8 grandchildren; Krystal Hatfield and husband Gabe, Melissa Steffey and husband Josh, Brittany Munday, Brandon Munday, Megan Munday, Courtney Chipman, Charee Stobaugh and Tommy Stobaugh and 5 great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Curran, Dylan, Tyler and Levi. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Scott & White Hospice, Eastwood Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice.
