Margaret Jackson, age 91, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m, Monday, February 23, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with Larry McDonald officiating. Private family burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the funeral home. Margaret was born on July 29, 1923 in Gouldbusk, Texas to Harvison and Cora Ada Kenley. She attended school in Coleman, Texas and she graduated from Coleman High School in 1941. She married William Howard (Bill) Jackson on June 9, 1943 in Orange, Texas. After she married, they moved to Brownwood, Texas and resided there for a few years. Then they moved to San Juan, Texas and Kerrville, Texas, and then in 1964 they moved to Gatesville, Texas. Margaret loved to take care of her family and was a very devoted grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to play the harmonica and she loved to keep the sidewalks clean at Hillside Nursing Home. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Gatesville Chapter and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Gatesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Howard (Bill) Jackson; daughter, Sherry Darlene Jackson; granddaughter, Melanie Jackson; one brother; and two sisters. Margaret is survived by her son, Randall Howard Jackson and wife, Margaret; daughter, Jan Byrd and husband, James; grandchildren, Laura Dykstra and husband, Willem, Valarie Kunkel and husband, Leslie, Jennifer Tennison and husband, Joe, and Deadra Guerra and husband, Joe; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Bryce, Copen, Brittaney, Daphne, Cadyn, Branton, Dani-Jo, Brooklin, Joe Anthony, Nikki, and Jagger; and great-great-granddaughter, Bella. Memorials may be made to Hillside Nursing and Rehabilitation, 101 S. 34th St., Gatesville, TX 76528.
