Justin Lusk, age 32 of Turnersville, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Gatesville. Funeral services for Justin will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Matt Dossey officiating. Burial will follow at the Turnersville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 5 to 7 P.M. Justin was born on July 7, 1982 in Waco. He went to school in Jonesboro K-12th grade, graduating from Jonesboro High School in 2000. He enjoyed sports and played basketball and football for Jonesboro. He loved music and could play guitar or any musical instrument he picked up by ear. He was an awesome father and his daughter, Chloe, was the love of his life. He attended McLennan Community College and Texas State Technical College. He worked as a correctional officer for TDCJ at the Coffield and Hughes Units and currently worked for Lark Manufacturing in McGregor. He was a member of the Jonesboro Baptist Church and was a member of the Turnersville Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his daughter, Chloe and her mother, Breanne; mother, Kathy Smith and husband, Melvin; father, Rodney Lusk and wife, Sheryl; two brothers, Brian Lusk and wife, Candace and Travis Lusk, grandparents, Dick and Dixie Wallace, Ray Lusk, and Sharon Menix; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial fund has been established for his daughter, Chloe Lusk, at The National Banks of Central Texas, 905 E. Main St., Gatesville, TX 76528.
