Ben Tennison

Ben Tennison, age 74, of Red Oak, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Dallas. Graveside Services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Friday at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville. Born on July 16, 1940 to the late A.W. and Annie Rose Tennison in Gatesville and was the youngest of 12 children. Ben married Barbara Kerby on September 19, 1959 in Gatesville. They moved to Red Oak, TX in March of 1970. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Lola Mae Lam, Doris “Peg” Branch, Glenna Jean Lamkin and seven brothers, James “Toad”, Homer, Tom, Bill, Sam, John and Bob. Ben is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Tennison; two sons, Bo Tennison and wife, Carolyn, Wade Tennison and wife, Amy; sister, June Ulmer; nine grandchildren, Brenda, Bryan, Christopher, Danielle, Jennifer, Emily, Noah, Joshua and Christian; one great granddaughter, Bryna and many nieces and nephews.
