Grace Cunningham went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Flat, Texas. Grace was born in Garner, Texas on March 22, 1917 to Lent William and Hattie (Baker) Parker. In 1924, the family moved to Scurry County. She attended schools in Martin and Snyder. In 1934, she married Oda B. Cunningham and they had three children, Harold Ray, Kenneth Jay, and Bettie Louise. She worked in Seminole at the school, at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and at Cunningham’s Help-You-Self Laundry. In 1951, they moved to Coryell County to the farm/ranch they loved. She was a member of Flat Baptist Church for 66 years and was the oldest living member until the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brother, husband, and daughter. She is survived by her sons, Harold Cunningham and wife, Ann of Crawford and Kenneth Cunningham and wife, Jane of Azle; son-in-law, Bubba McLeod and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Chrisann Goad and husband, Alan, Kevin Cunningham and wife, Bonnie, Janette Wright and husband, Bill, Learhea Grant, Angie Buffington, Bret Cunningham, Erin Wyman and husband, Will, and Kara Morris and husband, Steve; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Flat or to the charity of your choice.
