Jacob Travis Morrison

Jacob Travis Morrison, age 41, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove. Burial will follow at Copperas Cove City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the funeral home. Jacob Travis was born on September 2, 1973 in Louisville, Kentucky to Joseph Harold Morrison and Linda Lou Blanton Morrison. He attended school and graduated from Copperas Cove High School. He married Michelle Parker on March 13, 1997. He graduated from Andersonville Theological Seminary and was an ordained minister. He worked for Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice and retired in 2013 due to illness. He loved Star Wars, farming, animals, shooting guns, and the great outdoors. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Lampasas. Jacob Travis is survived by his wife, Michelle Morrison; parents, Joe and Linda Morrison of Copperas Cove; sons, Matthew McCluskey of Washington and Benjamin McCluskey of Maryland; daughter, Alicia McCluskey Dorris of Idaho; brothers, Joseph Todd Morrison and wife, Pam, Joshua Trever Morrison and wife, Betsy, and Jeremiah Tanor Morrison, all of Copperas Cove; four grandchildren; five nephews; and one niece.
