Minnie Mae Curry

Minnie Mae Curry, 93, of Gatesville passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home with burial at Levita Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Born on April 12, 1921 to the late Amos and Ellnore White Bullard in Crawford, Texas. She attended school in Crawford and later married John Alford Snoddy in 1936 in McGregor, Texas. Minnie later married Virgil Curry in Gatesville. Minnie loved quilting, cooking, gardening and take her grandchildren fishing. Most of all, she loved the Lord with all her heart always being His disciple. All mothers are special but Minnie stood out as a special mother and a blessing to the Snoddy family. Her eyes could light up a room. Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Curry; daughter, Caroline Snoddy; two sisters; three brothers; one grandson, David Patterson; two great grandsons, Bucky Nichols and Jonathon Nagle; and one great granddaughter, Elizabeth Caroline Nagle. Minnie is survived by her children, Mary Meeks, Roy Snoddy and wife Shirley, Rodger Snoddy, Christine Patterson, John Snoddy, Jr. and wife, Ruth, Sam Snoddy and wife, Gloria, 15 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren. The family wishes to express special thanks to the Meadows Staff and to Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care during her illness.
