Jon Stephen Winston

Jon Stephen “Steve” Winston, 55, of Gatesville passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in Gatesville. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Bellwood Memorial Park in Temple, Texas. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at Scott’s Funeral Home. Jon was born on April 26, 1953 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Joseph and Frances Jones Winston. He was a native of Miles, Texas before moving to Temple in 1956, where he attended school. In 1993 he found his home in Gatesville, a place he truly loved. Jon loved sports and could quote every sport statistics in many different sports. Jon was a former member of 7th Street Methodist Church in Temple. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jon is survived by his brothers, Joe Winston and wife Debbie of Temple, Robert Winston and wife Linda of Spring; 3 nephews; 1 niece; 1 great nephew and 2 great nieces.
