Cessa Joy Salvato

Cessa Joy Salvato, age 3, unfortunately was granted her angel wings on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville with The Rev. Buddy Wheat officiating. Burial will follow at the Bates Family Cemetery in Pearl. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Cessa, also known as “Pookie”, was born on June 29, 2011 in Temple, Texas. She was outgoing, never knew a stranger, and would smile for everyone. She was very rambunctious, opinionated, and stubborn but offered unconditional love. She was a bundle of joy with the greatest hugs. She loved Minnie Mouse, the color purple, and music. She had the voice of an angel. She enjoyed singing, and dancing, and loved being the center of attention. She also loved spending time in the kitchen, not just cooking but eating...A LOT!!! Your time with us was far too short, your bright smile will never be forgotten. Until we meet again... She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Arvid Perry, Dorothy and Bobby Watson, and Helen and Peter Leto; cousin, Joshua Barton; great-great aunt, Gloria Meyer; and Van King. Cessa is survived by her mother, Nikki Salvato; father, Ashton Salvato; sister, Lexis King; brothers, Bryan Shafer and Jaden Shafer; grandparents, Warren and Connie Wood, Gary and Michelle Salvato, and Teresa Blake; great-grandparents, Truett and Marilyn Bates; and many special aunts, uncles, and cousins.
