Betty Ann Summers

Betty Ann Summers, age 65, of Gatesville passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Flint Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Betty was born on August 26, 1949 in Coryell County, Texas to Allen Shelton and Nell Altum Shelton. She grew up and went to school in Flat. She married Eddie Summers in 1967. They resided in Flat most of their married lives. She worked for T.D.C.J. as a release clerk at the Gatesville Unit, retiring after 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; and niece, Christi Malastina. Betty is survived by her husband, Eddie Summers, Sr.; sons, Stacy Summers and wife, Amanda, Tracy Summers and wife, Monita, and Eddie Summers, Jr. and wife, Liz; sisters, Sue Pivowar, Connie Hodges and husband, Gary, and Bonnie Webb and husband, Walt; brothers, Preston Shelton and wife, Brenda, Ricky Shelton and wife, Pam, Eddie Shelton, and Billy Shelton; grandchildren, Chelsea Shultz, Kyla Summers, Jaycee Summers, Jaymie McDonald, Malorie Summers, Kaylan Summers, Taylor Markgraf, and Dylan Markgraf ; and many nieces and nephews.
