M.K. "Jiggs" Marshall

M.K. “Jiggs” Marshall, age 89, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Davidson Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday. Jiggs was born on January 22, 1926 in Pultight, Texas to the late Charles Franklin Marshall and Mary Elizabeth Millsap Marshall. He attended school in Mound and Gatesville. He married Cleo Jones on May 15, 1948 at the parsonage in McLean, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and the Philippines. He worked for several propane companies including StarTex Propane. He was a member of Pecan Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Barry Marshall; four brothers; and five sisters. Jiggs is survived by his wife, Cleo; daughter, Connie Cummings and husband, Fred; son, Kelly Marshall and wife, Brenda; daughter-in-law, Mary Murry and husband Jim; grandsons, Jody Cummings and wife, Reneé, Cody Wallace and wife, Misty, and Will Davidson and wife, Sonia; granddaughters, Casey Smart and husband, Kevin, Mindy Ingraham and husband, Kory, and Amy McHugh and husband, Sean; great-grandchildren, Jordan Cummings, Mykenzie Cummings, Kenedi Smart, Kyla Hinojosa, Sidney Rivas, Bailey Davidson, Emma Davidson, Maggie and Mollie Ingraham, Caybree Smart, and Turner Pete Wallace; special niece, Taylor Ann Arnold and husband, Cecil; and numerous nieces and nephews.
