Shirley Faye Robinson

Shirley Faye Robinson, age 79, of Oglesby passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Post Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Shirley was born on September 16, 1935 in Oglesby, Texas to Walter Clopp and Dora Bernard Clopp. She was raised and attended school in Oglesby. She worked at Anchor Plastics for several years and then went to Smead Manufacturing for 27 years. At the age of 60, she accomplished passing her GED, and then went to work at T.D.C.J. for three years. Upon retiring, she enjoyed staying at home and helping take care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Walter and Dora Clopp; sister, Lois Buckner; son, Donald Robinson; and grandchild, Cody Robinson. Shirley is survived by her two sons, Lonnie Robinson and wife, Betsy of Gatesville and Bobby Robinson and wife, Juanita of Evant; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and lots of family and friends. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 102 Alta Mira, Gatesville, TX 76528. Pallbearers will be Richard Newman, Chris Newman, Phillip Robinson, Randy Robinson, Dylan Robinson, and John Key. Honorary pallbearers will be Damon Crisman and Mason Crisman.
