Bob Martin

Bob Martin, age 82 of the Pecan Grove community passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 in a McGregor nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, following the service. Bob was born on September 23, 1932 in Oglesby, to the late Bruns and Orville Plemons Martin. He grew up in Oglesby, graduating from Oglesby High School in 1951. He served in the Army for six months and then in the Army Reserves for three years. He delivered fuel for Dan Edwards Oil Company for over 30 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oglesby. He is survived by his brother, Maurice Martin of Pecan Grove.
