Alma Louise Hasty, age 91, of Gatesville, went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2015 with her family by her side. A Celebration of her life will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gene Gurley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. There is no set time for visitation. Louise was born November 12, 1923 in Gatesville, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Carl L. Snow and Tansy Murray Snow. Louise grew up and attended school in Gatesville. She married Walter Louis (W.L.) Hasty on August 19, 1941. They had four children, Walter Ray Hasty, Jack Hasty, Larry Dean Hasty, and LouAnn Hasty Cole. She worked for Coryell Memorial Hospital and the State School for Boys for over 20 years. Louise was an amazing and loving person. The greatest joys in her life were her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and serving her Lord and Savior. She was an avid gardener, loved cooking, sewing, knitting, and fishing. You could always see her walking in the community or at the fitness center to stay fit. She was a member of the Gatesville Garden Club, Order of the Eastern Star, as well as volunteered at the Gatesville Care Center. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; her devoted and loving husband; one son, Jack Hasty; three brothers; and two sisters. Louise is survived by her two sons, Walter Ray Hasty and wife, Eva and Larry Dean Hasty and wife, JoAnn; daughter, LouAnn Hasty Cole and husband, Bobby; sisters, Mamie Snow and Evelyn Taylor; brother, Jim Edd Snow; 10 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren; and a myriad of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family in Christ and many friends.
