Glenda Jean Holden

Glenda Jean Holden, age 61, of Gatesville passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015. Graveside services will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Restland Cemetery, with Pastor Wray Nunn officiating. Glenda was born in Gatesville, TX to Sara Inez Whisenhunt and Alvin Franks. Glenda lived in Gatesville all of her life. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1971, and later married Thomas Holden. She was a faithful member of Grace Assembly Church. Glenda worked as an LVN for many years, and loved caring for her patients. Her love for her patients came from a deep love for her family. Glenda loved spending time with her family, especially her husband and children; Glenda had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Willie Holden; one brother, Dennis Franks; and a sister, Diane Blackman. Glenda will be deeply missed by her husband, Thomas Holden; daughters, Robin Sutton and husband, Shane, Debbie Hooker and husband, Kenny, and Cindy Witt; sons, Kenneth Holden and wife, Kandi and Lynn Holden and wife, DeAnn; brother, Duane Franks and wife, Gayle; 15 grandchildren, Sara, Garrett, Cain, Christiane, Chancey, Courtney, Jacob, T.C., Kelsey, Rachel, Edwin, Anna, Kelly, Willis Jr., and Carly; and 11 great-grandchildren.
