Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville, with Chaplain Gary Baxley officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM Friday, June 12th at Scott’s Funeral Home. Ina was born on July 9, 1930 in Macomb, Oklahoma, to the late Thomas Charles and Minnie Lincoln Motley. She was from a pioneering family that came into the Oklahoma territory, prior to statehood. Her grandfather Robert Motley was a US Marshall over the Cherokee Strip, during the land rush and later for the state of Oklahoma. Due to the Great Depression and the onset of the Dust Bowl, the family business failed and they moved to Texas, seeking a new start and settling in Odessa in 1937. Her father found work, but there was no housing available. They lived in tents for two years until they established a home. She married Jack Manning on May 15, 1948 in the First United Methodist Church in Odessa. Over the following years, she and her husband founded multiple businesses in energy, ranching and real estate. Ina was truly a kind and caring Christian person. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend who would help anyone in need. She was a volunteer with the women’s auxiliary at Medical Center Hospital. She loved traveling and spending time with her husband and friends. She had a passion for playing games and frequent trips to Las Vegas. Ina is survived by her husband, Jack Manning; and sons, C. Jack Manning and fiancé, Rhonda of Odessa and Bob Manning of Gatesville; brother, R.W. Motley of Odessa; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Ina’s family would like to express their great appreciation to her caregivers, Diane Norwood, Jannetta Spencer and Bubba Bingham. Pallbearers will be Bill W. Butler, Jack D. Motley, Max D.
