Jason E. Stringer

Jason E. Stringer, age 45, of Jonesboro passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015. Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Park Heights Church of Christ in Hamilton, Texas. Visitation will be 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside services will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Wells, Texas on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Jason was born on April 6, 1970 in Lufkin, Texas to Paul and Mary Tidwell Stringer. He attended school at the Groveton Independent School District and graduated from Gatesville High School in 1987. He attended college at McLennan Community College and Stephen F. Austin State University where he received his bachelor’s degree. He married Samantha Jo Pratt on July 23, 2005. He worked at Duckwall Alco, Montgomery Ward, and Books-A-Million. He enjoyed playing with his dog, Julio, church activities, and cooking. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Stringer. Jason is survived by his wife, Samantha Jo Stringer; son, Nathaniel Jess Pratt; father, Paul Stringer; sister, Elizabeth, Middleton; brother, Timothy Stringer; mother-in-law, Debbie Pratt; father-in-law, Paul Pratt; sister-in-law, Kathy Stringer; brother-in-law, Brad Middleton; and two nieces, Kayla and Mistie Middleton.
