Flavil Lee Brown

Flavil Lee Brown, age 86, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Restland Cemetery in Gatesville. There is no set time for visitation. Flavil Lee was born on November 12, 1928 in Gatesville, Texas. He was the son of Frank Brown and Nona Jones Brown. Flavil Lee attended school in Gatesville. After high school he entered the US Army on January 6, 1951. He served in the First Calvary Division during the Korean War. After his discharge he opened the Sinclair Service Station and auto body shop in Gatesville on main street, later moving to West Highway 84 and then to the present location on Highway 36. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Virginia Fillmore Flavil is survived by his son, Brian Brown and wife Veronica; siblings, Betty, John, and Billy; grandchildren, Rachel Brown, Logan Brown, Tanner Brown and Isabella Brown.
