Jessie Fay Spradling

Jessie Fay Spradling, 93, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 in Gatesville. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home in Gatesville with burial following at Murphree Cemetery in Evant. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Jessie was born on September 24, 1921 in Evant to the late George and Emma Reed Sneed. She graduated from Evant High School and married Clayton Spradling on November 5, 1940. They lived in New Mexico most of their married life. Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Troy B. Sneed, Robert Sneed; nephew, James Sneed; and son, Richard “Dickie” Spradling Jessie is survived by her sister, Pauline Sneed Sutton of Alabama; nieces, Judy Scott of Lampasas, Linda Kidd of Waco; nephews, Glen Sutton of Alabama, Floyd Sutton of Gatesville, Kenneth Sneed of Austin, and many great nieces and nephews.
