David George Koch

David George Koch, 93 of Gatesville, TX passed away peacefully with his beloved family members at his bedside on July 13, 2015 in Gatesville. Graveside Services will be 10 AM, Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Parker Cemetery in Colleyville, TX. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Bethel Heights Baptist Church in Gatesville. David was born June 9, 1922 in the Plainview Community as the 11th of 12 children to the late John Carl Koch and Margaret Elizabeth Weigand Koch. David and his family attended Bethel Heights Baptist Church where he was baptized as a young man. He was a faithful and loyal servant to the Lord his entire life. He spent the first 18 years of his life on the Koch family farm until he was drafted into the Army in October 24, 1942. He proudly served in Oran North Africa in WWII for almost 3 years. He moved back to Texas and lived in the DFW area where he met and married Angie Laura Hall Koch. David spent the majority of his adult life making a home with Angie in Grand Prairie, TX where he owned his own automotive repair business for years. He and Angie were married for over 55 years. On December 19, 1956 they were blessed with a son Richard Lynn Koch who was the pride and joy of their lives. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, and 10 of his 11 siblings. David is survived by his sister, Jeanette Peterson of Fargo, North Dakota and numerous nieces & nephews. Memorials may be made to: Parker Memorial Cemetery Association, P.O.
