Theodore Wayne Meyer

Mr. Theodore Wayne Meyer, age 72 of Gatesville, died on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at the Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2009. Mr. Meyer was born on April 1, 1936 in Montpelier, Ohio to the late William Augustus Meyer and Gertrude Esther Little Meyer. He grew up and attended school in Ohio, later moving to Kansas. He married Mary Alice Spinney in 1966. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2006. He was in the US Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He has lived in Gatesville for 8 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents; daughter, Deborah Dolores Meyer; brother Howard Meyer and sister JoAnn Buckley. He is survived by sons Keith Meyer, Wayne D. Meyer, Joseph Meyer, and Wayne E. Meyer; daughters, Karen Copling, Kathleen Cortez, Roberta Wilson, and Theresa Chandler; sisters, Dolores Rother and Gwen Taylor; 30 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
