Dolores Sadler England, age 87 of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Gatesville, with The Rev. Dr. Buddy Wheat officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services at the church. Mrs. England was born on August 25, 1927 in Coryell City, Texas to the late Herman Worth and Elizabeth Bellamy Sadler. She graduated from Gatesville High School in 1943 and married the love of her life, Command Sgt. Major James Preston England on February 7, 1946. Dolores was an Army wife and proud of it. She was a lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Gatesville. She was a long-time volunteer at the Coryell County Museum and member of the Morris Federation. She will be fondly remembered for her love of sports and her passion for the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, for which she could be heard by many if they were losing. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed dearly. Her husband preceded her in death on July 5, 1992. She is survived by her daughter, Linda England Davis of Gatesville; sister, Ollidene Alewine of Waxahachie; two grandsons, James Davis and wife, Shelly, William Davis and wife, Shannon; four great grandchildren, Feather, Alex, Andrue and Emma Davis; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
