Michael J. Westbrook

Michael Westbrook, age 74, of Gatesville passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015. A Memorial Graveside will be at 11AM, Monday, September 28, 2015 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Michael was born on January 30, 1941 in New Braunfels, TX to the late J.C. and Pearl Kirmse Westbrook. He attended school in Comal County before joining the United States Army when he was 18. He served for 21 years and 30 months of it was in Vietnam. Michael married PFC Patricia Tracy on September 7, 1963 in St. Peter and Paul in New Braunfels, TX. He loved salmon fishing with his friends in Michigan and with his close friend in Port Aransas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Edgar J. Westbrook. Michael is survived by his wife, Patricia T. Westbrook; four children; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to National Pancreatic Cancer at NPCF, P.O.
