Norman (Mac) McInis, age 69, of Gatesville passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, with Dr. Steve Bush officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 22nd at the funeral home. Norman was born on September 26, 1945 in San Saba, Texas to the late Lewis and Rosie Lee West McInis. He grew up in the central Texas area and graduated high school in Irving. He served in Libya in the Air Force from 1963 to 1966 and then in the Air National Guard until his retirement in 1990. He married Connie Morris on August 4, 1978. He worked for Kalyn-Siebert Trailers as a contract administrator for 20 years, retiring in 2008. He enjoyed playing practical jokes on his family, spending time with his grandchildren, playing dominoes, playing the guitar and reading his Bible. He was preceded in death by his dear mother and father-in-law, Floyd and Maybelle Morris; brother, Willie McInis; sister-in-law, Loretta Cantrell; grandchildren, Victoria (Tori) Ashleigh, Clara Beth, James Matthew and Joshua Shawn McInis, Ryan David Cantrell. Norman is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Shyronda Roy and husband, Colin, Kristi Wood and husband, David, Christi Louder and husband, Nick, Jennifer Hurst and husband, Tony; sons, Mike McInis and wife, Jami, Brian Cantrell and wife, Regina, Jody McInis and wife Trina, Jason McInis; sister, Shirley Pucciariello and husband, Joe; 28 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
