Terry Wayne Woods

Terry Wayne Woods, age 64, of Gatesville passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Gatesville Church of Christ. Wayne was born on November 21, 1950 in Gatesville, Texas to the late William Larry Woods and Sarah Evelyn Davis Woods. He graduated from Gatesville High School in 1970. Wayne worked for Walls Industries for 23 ½ years and for G.I.S.D. for 14 years, retiring in 2015. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and Gatesville Hornet fan. Wayne was a member of Gatesville Church of Christ. Wayne is survived by his brother, Larry Don Woods and wife, Judy Dunahoo Woods of Gatesville; nieces, Shaila Anne Butler and husband, Bill of Eddy and Vonda Kay Castro and husband, Edgar of Houston; great-nephews, Brody Don Butler of Eddy, Lucas Elijah and Joshua Samuel Castro of Houston; uncle, Johnny Mack York of Eddy; aunt, Dolores Davis of Elm Mott; and numerous cousins and family.
