Carl James Lacy, Sr.

Carl James Lacy, Sr., age 64, of Gatesville passed away Friday, October 30, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Carl was born on July 7, 1951 in Gatesville, to Carl D. Lacy and the late Peggy McElroy. He grew up in Gatesville and entered the U.S. Coast Guard in 1968, serving for four years and later for two years in the Coast Guard Reserves. He lived mostly in the Dallas area with his former wife Rhonda Fullen before moving back to Gatesville in 2010. He was preceded in death by his mother, son, Carl James Lacy, Jr. in 1972 and a sister, Reedonna Miller. Carl is survived by his father, Carl D. Lacy and wife, Martha of Pearl; sons, Carl James Lacy III and wife, Christy of Forney, Chad Lacy and wife, Jenny of Melissa; daughter, Brittany Craft and husband, Josh of Plano; sisters, Jan Smith and husband, Tom of Gatesville, Tammy Lacy of Gatesville; brother, David Lee Wolff and wife, Christy of Robinson; five grandchildren, Justin Lacy and wife, Jessica, Hannah and Noah Craft, Ethan and Summer Lacy. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
